Barometer HD: Your Personal Barometric Pressure and Altitude Monitor
Barometer HD is a free-to-use utility and tool app developed by Guild Software Inc. for Android devices. This app is an excellent tool for measuring barometric pressure and altitude with just a few taps. The app displays the current barometric pressure in different units, including inHg, mmHg, hPa, atm, and millibars. Additionally, it shows your altitude at STP.
However, it is worth noting that Barometer HD only runs on devices with the barometric sensor, such as the Motorola Xoom and Galaxy Nexus. Moreover, the app is currently facing some issues with phone-sized screens being too small to read all of the pressure values. The developer has requested users to email them with any problems rather than posting them in reviews, as it helps them to fix the issues more quickly with direct feedback.
The app has planned upcoming features, including a Barometer Widget for the Android Desktop, more calibration options, and triggerable sound effects on major pressure changes (storm warning mode).
